Curriculum Posts

Grade 4 Science
Habitats and Life Systems

Curriculum Expectation:
Students will: describe structural adaptations of plants and animals that demonstrate a response of the living things to their environment (e.g., the height of a plant depends on the amount of sunlight the plant gets; many animals that live in the Arctic have white fur);

Create a Habitat

Dear Parents:
These games will get your child engaged and having fun learning about habitats: what is in a habitat? How are habitats different? What animals and plants live in certain habitats? How have plants and animals ADAPTED for SURVIVAL in their habitat?

Students: TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS!

Always think: how do animals and plants SURVIVE (aka: live) in their habitats? What special ADAPTATIONS (aka: characteristics) do they have that helps them to survive?
